Hi,I finally maaged to get my Retropie up and running beautifully. But now I've hit another road block- certain Advmame is telling me that the.CH file is missing for certain ROMs.I've looked online, and all resources suggest the following fixes:.Put the ROM into the ROM directory, then. Example:/mame/roms/area51.zip/mame/roms/area51/.Putting the ROM +.CHD file into the same ROM directoryI've tried both fixes, and Advmame still can't locate the.CHD file that the ROM apparently needs.

But I'm 100% certain that the file is there!Has Retropie 3.0 changed the way that.CHD files are handled? How do I successfully launch ROMs with mandatory.CHD files?.
For certain games to run on MAME, you need something called a CHD file. It is like a little hard drive but for arcade games.
Usually you can find them in the same place you find your arcade roms. It is also usually in a multi-part RAR file. I made this list so that if you are wondering why a certain MAME game won't run, a CHD is probably needed. Look at this list. If you see the game's name on here, chances are that you need to download a CHD file. I don't know how do make it run.
